Improvisation and composition workshops using props and tools designed from felt polygons and strips.
I created these art-games + tools in 2010 and continue to develop and experiment with them with groups And organizations. to present and play with them in a variety of fun ways which include: developing participant’s skills in critical response, group composition, visual story telling and imaginative mapping. To me, looms physically illustrate the value of both interdependence and autonomy in co-operation. In this loom activity I designed, I invite people to establish a pattern on a hand-held loom and transpose the pattern with themselves as the pegs. How groups strategize is really an improvisation of the person’s respective independence.
