With this travel grant, completed five-week photography project and community-based research on site in
Basilicata, Italy; worked with Materano citizens, local historians, artists, architects and engineers to interpret
relationships between distinct built environments, including the urban center and peripheral housing
developments, as well as the socio-political history of the landscape.
